1.Introduction

Ace Quiz AI ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Ace Quiz AI website and services (the "Service"), an AI-powered study platform that generates quizzes, flashcards, summaries, study plans, and related study tools from materials you provide. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here. This policy should be read together with our Terms of Use.

2.Information we collect

Account information

  • Registration details — name, email address, and a password (stored in hashed form; we never store your password in plain text).
  • Google sign-in — if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account. We do not receive your Google password.
  • Profile information — optional educational details you choose to provide (for example, your study level or exam goals).

Content you provide

  • Study materials you upload or paste, including documents (PDF, Word), images, and text.
  • Links you submit, such as YouTube videos used as study sources.
  • Messages you send to AI features (for example, tutor chat, homework help, and follow-up questions).
  • Answers you submit to quizzes, mock exams, and other study activities.

Usage data

  • Quiz and exam performance, scores, and progress over time.
  • Time spent on study activities and response patterns.
  • Topics and concepts you find difficult, identified from your answers, which we use to personalize your study experience.
  • Feature usage and credit consumption.

Payment information

Payments are processed by Stripe, our payment provider. We do not collect or store your full card number. We receive limited billing information from Stripe, such as your subscription status, plan, and payment history.

Technical data

  • IP address, browser type, and device information.
  • Operating system, time zone, and approximate location.
  • Cookies and similar technologies (see Cookies and analytics).

3.How we use your information

  • To create and manage your account.
  • To provide the core Service: generating quizzes, flashcards, summaries, mock exams, study plans, and AI tutoring from your materials.
  • To track your progress and personalize what the Service shows you, such as focusing practice on your weaker topics.
  • To process subscriptions, payments, and usage credits.
  • To communicate with you about your account, purchases, and important Service updates.
  • To respond to inquiries and provide customer support.
  • To monitor, secure, and improve the Service, including preventing abuse and enforcing usage limits.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

4.AI processing of your content

The Service is powered by artificial intelligence. When you use an AI feature, the relevant content — for example, an uploaded document, a pasted text, a YouTube transcript, or a chat message — is sent to third-party AI model providers (accessed through the OpenRouter platform) solely to generate your requested output, such as quiz questions, flashcards, summaries, or tutor responses.

  • Your content is shared with these providers only to the extent needed to generate your outputs.
  • We do not use your study materials to train our own AI models, and we do not permit our AI providers to use your content for training their models.
  • AI-generated outputs (such as quiz questions and explanations) are stored with your account so you can revisit them.

5.Data sharing and disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:

Service providers

We share information with third-party providers who help us operate the Service, each only receiving what they need for their function:

  • AI model providers (via OpenRouter) — process your content to generate outputs, as described above.
  • Stripe — payment and subscription processing.
  • Google — sign-in with Google (authentication) and Google Analytics (usage measurement).
  • Cloud hosting and storage providers — host the Service and store your data securely.

Legal requirements

We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users or the Service.

Business transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, user information may be transferred as part of the transaction. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

6.Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies for two purposes:

  • Essential cookies — required to keep you signed in and make the Service work. These cannot be switched off.
  • Analytics — we use Google Analytics to understand how the Service is used (for example, which pages are visited) so we can improve it. This involves cookies set by Google.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser opt-out add-on. For more on how Google handles data, see Google's Privacy Policy.

7.Data storage, security, and retention

Storage

Your study materials, generated content, and account data are stored on secure cloud servers. Data may be stored and processed in countries other than your own; where that happens, we take steps to ensure it receives an adequate level of protection.

Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction, including encryption in transit and hashed password storage. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Retention and deletion

We retain your information for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide the Service, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at support@acequiz.ai; we will delete or anonymize your personal data except where we are legally required to retain it.

8.Your rights

Depending on your location (including under Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act and the EU/UK GDPR), you may have the right to:

  • Access a copy of your personal information.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Delete your personal information.
  • Restrict or object to certain processing.
  • Receive your data in a portable format.
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@acequiz.ai. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law and may need to verify your identity first.

9.Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 18, you should use the Service with the consent of a parent or guardian where required by the law of your country. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, contact us at support@acequiz.ai and we will delete it.

11.Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. For material changes, we will provide additional notice through the Service or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
