About AceQuiz
Most study tools stop at making you material. We build the part that comes after: practice from your own course, and an honest answer to the only question that matters the night before an exam.
That question is why the product exists. Students do not usually fail because they had no notes. They fail because nothing told them, early enough to matter, which parts had not stuck. AceQuiz turns your own slides, readings and recordings into practice you take, then measures what came back and what did not.

Why we exist
Something changed in studying over the last two years, and something did not.
Making study material became free
Any assistant will now summarize your PDF, draft flashcards and produce a set of multiple choice questions in seconds. That is genuinely useful, and it is no longer worth paying for. A tool whose whole pitch is generation is selling something the free products already do.
Nothing tells you whether it worked
You can generate a hundred flashcards and still walk into the room with no idea where you stand. Measuring readiness means timed conditions, questions built to your exam format, grading that is willing to mark you down, and a memory of what you got wrong last week. Almost nobody builds that, because it is harder than generating.
Generation stays free and generous, because it should. The work we put our effort into is the layer after it: mock exams built from your material, grading on typed and written answers, a review schedule tied to your exam date, and a read on which concepts are solid and which are not. That is the product. The rest is the on-ramp.
What we build
Eight tools that share one workspace, one set of sources, and one loop.
- 01
Bring your own material
Slides, PDFs, Word docs, PowerPoint, photos of handwritten notes, lecture recordings, YouTube links, or an Anki deck you already own. The practice has to come from your course, not from a generic bank.
- 02
Practice in the format you will be tested in
Multiple choice, true or false, short answer, fill in the blank and essay. Typed answers are graded with written feedback, because a score alone teaches you very little.
- 03
Sit a real rehearsal
A timed mock exam under exam conditions, sectioned and paced, so the first time you feel the clock is not on the day itself.
- 04
Come back to what you missed
Weak concepts return on a schedule set by how you rated them and how long you have left, rather than whenever you happen to open the app.
Each step is there because the research says it carries weight, not because it demos well. We show our working on the learning science page.
What we hold to
Six commitments. Each one is checkable, which is the only kind worth writing down.
Cite it or cut it
Every research number we publish names the paper it came from, in the units the paper used. Where a claim would not survive a check by a professor, we do not make it.
See the sources →Practice, not answers on demand
We build a tool that tests you, and we refuse the features that only exist for getting past an assessment. Instructors have a direct route to us.
Read the policy →Your material stays yours
Uploads are private to your account, are never published to other users, and are not used to train public AI models. Flashcard decks export to Anki whenever you want them elsewhere.
Privacy policy →Honest measurement over flattery
A study tool that tells you what you want to hear is worse than no tool. Grading is meant to be strict, and a mock result is meant to be uncomfortable while it is still useful.
No traps at the checkout
The free tier does not expire and does not ask for a card. Plans are a simple subscription rather than a charge per quiz, and leaving does not cost you your decks.
